Wee Witch!

Halloween is just around the corner. I realized I have lots of  stamps for the occasion but I have colored none. So I chose a digi stamp from sylvia zett's wee stamps - Hazel - a wee witch and colored her with copic
Except for the cardstock all the patterned papers are from scraporchard's - spooktacular kit and also from trick or treat . I first came across this site while reading this post by Dayna Sabrina - http://sabrioletdesigns.blogspot.com/2012/10/the-cameo-spotlight-no-6-something.html
She has done an awesome job on those cards. I fell in love with that kit and some more on the site -  winter wonderland and merry christmas.  The flowers are cut out using a silhouette file - spiral flower but you can also use itsy bitsy spirals - spellbinder.
Here's my card

Adore!

It's been a while since I crafted. So decided to head up to the craft room and make a card - an easel card. I had printed this image out a while back and thought I would color it. I love the challenges at scrapbitzcopics and thought that this image would be ideal for the Touch of Red challenge!. This is from saturated canary - Hollywood .
I thought the antique car from silhouette store would make the perfect background. I colored the lady with copic and added spica to give a subtle glitter

The tags are mini tags from paper trey ink (both the die and the stamp). The main label is spellbinder I think label 4 and just rite shabby chic stamp. I stamped an arrow and follow your dreams sentiment from paper trey ink on to it. The rose is colored with memento ink.
Rhinestone ribbon, Feathers and a bauble (got from cutting of the ring portion of some party fillers) and acrylic flowers and rhinestones provide the added bling. I got some gauze - not the regular kind from drug store but the cotton kind from http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002Q0A6JM/ref=oh_details_o03_s00_i00 . These are beautiful and provide nice texture. I added glimmer mist to one piece and left the other alone.
One main thing to remember when doing an easel card is since you fold the card over  make sure you cut another piece the same dimension as the front of the card if you are planning to layer .
In this case I cut up a  a 12 x 12 paper to 6 x 12. So the card is 6 x 6. The front is scored at 3 to fold over. So I cut another piece 6 x 6 and layered on that. The pattern paper are from recollection elegant stack. (3 pieces - (1.75 x 5.75 - 2 different pattern pieces and another patter piece cut at 3.75x3.75 inches). I broke out my sewing machine to stitch the paper in using zig zag stitch

I love how the card turned out. Thank you all for reading.
Happy Crafting!

Peaceful Boo! EEK?!!!

Peaceful Boo? EEK?

This card is new experience for me. I have never done a card with such open space before I think. My style is more (for better word) Organic!
It started with a project my son had to do for school. He was given a folded paper measuring 6 x 4.5 (ie 6 x 9 unfolded). He was supposed to cut out in his words - a peace sign like a card and decorate it. What he meant was a shaped card lol but I thought for some reason that the card had to have a peace sign in it. I guess that's what skipping lunch does for a person!. I took out the silhouette and designed a card . Took a while aligning and measuring and flipping images etc etc. While he was doing homework I enthusiastically cut it out. When he came down to look of course he said it was all wrong and he cut out approx shape out of another paper and showed me. I did cut out what he wanted but I was left with this one. So I decided to make a card out of it. I cut out a peace sign using a digi paper from scraporchard kit - spooktacular. Attached some googly eyes. Tied a satin ribbon. Embossed the card with a cuttlebug folder, added a sticker sentiment and behold a simple card. To make it interesting I add a  transparent sheet circle cut out from a spellbinder blister pack and after pasting it on the inside of the card wrote some words like boo and spooky with a permanent marker.

I think I like simple style. I have to try it again.

Wee Birthday

Hello everyone. It's my turn as a designer on http://shesasassylady.blogspot.com/.
Thanks Sheila for having me as a designer and allow us all to post in your lovely blog.
My son's teacher had a birthday coming up and I thought to use my copic markers and a cute cute digi image from sylvia zett's wee line called Birthday Baby to make her a card.  The digi image can be found here - http://www.weestamps.com/?page_id=27
I was wondering what colors to use and was inspired by the scrapbitz copics challenge for this month - bright fun colors. And of course I had to use my new embossing folders - Marianne designables which I got from dutchpapercrafts. They are so lovely to play with.
Here is a card

The border is using spellbinder mega dies - Parisan Accents. I used the remaining blue paper (mat cardstock) after cutting the border for the inside of the card
The embossing is using Mariannes designables - DS0916 - Anja's dots. You can see the pictures of all the lovelies here - http://shop.sweetstamps.com/EMBOSS-CUT-FOLDERS_c210.htm.
But I got mine from dutchpapercrafts. It is a cutting and embossing folder as you can see on the pink cardstock in front. But as I didn't want the inside to be cut like that I embossed half the card and then turned it around and embossed the other half. You can see the flowers going the other way.
The sentiment is from Anna Griffin stamps. To put the gift card in I just cut out a cardstock - rectangle with tabs.

Hope you liked the bright colored card . Thanks for having me here Sheila. Thank you all for reading.

With Glittering eyes

Hi
This is Pam from Papillon digital designs & The Bugbytes - your designer today at Shes a Sassylady.
Today I bring to you a card I made using a digi image from saturated canary which was called  Gypsy Dancer and is now called Zorana which I had got for my Suzanne J Dean's copic class.

Papers used were a blue cardstock and an yellow cardstock. I stamped the yellow CS with Anna Griffin background stamps roughly. Though they do tile perfectly I stamped them somewhat imperfectly. I colored the image using copics. I used MS punch to punch a white cardstock for layering and used some pink CS for contrast and also a small cake doily behind the image. I had this purple cow craft geek wind it wire kit and used it to make a swirl. Then used some ribbon flower rose to embellish. I used a checkerboard ribbon and to give further contrast cut a blue card stock piece - the width of the card and stuck the ribbon in the middle.
I love the quote by Roald Dahl - "And above all, watch with glittering eyes the whole world around you because the greatest secrets are always hidden in the most unlikely places. Those who don't believe in magic will never find it.”
I  printed it and used that as sentiment.
Hope you all liked this card.
As this weeks challenge at scrapbitzcopics.ning.com so happens to be to use yellow  I will be entering this for challenge.
